1. Restart your computer.Before the Windows logo appears, press the F8 key multiple times until you see the Advanced Boot Options menu. Select "Safe Mode" from the list using the arrow keys and press Enter.
2. After your computer boots into Safe Mode, log in to your user account. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box. Type "cmd" and press Enter to open the Command Prompt.
3. In the Command Prompt, type the following command and press Enter: sfc /scannow. The System File Checker will scan your system files for any errors or corrupt files and attempt to repair them.
4. In the Command Prompt, type the following command and press Enter: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. DISM will check your system image for any issues and try to repair them.
5. While still in Safe Mode, you can use the command-line version of your installed antivirus software to scan for and remove viruses. The specific command may vary depending on your antivirus software, so consult the documentation or support resources for your antivirus program. As an example, for Windows Defender, you can use the following command: MpCmdRun.exe -Scan -ScanType 3
6. After the antivirus scan is complete and any threats are removed, restart your computer normally. Allow your computer to boot into the regular Windows mode.
